Everything’s better with a plus one.

Book a verified plus one for an afternoon — a shopping trip, a party you already said yes to, or a Sunday that needs a witness. Platonic, in public, priced by the hour.

What people book

A plus one for any of these.

Dandiya nightOn now

Garba is no fun from the side of the room.

Nine nights, and most people who skip them are not busy — they have nobody to go with, or nobody who knows the steps. Book someone for the evening who does.

Weddings

A wedding you said yes to in March.

Arrive with someone. Have a name to introduce. Leave when you want to leave, without explaining yourself to anybody.

Receptions · Sangeets · Work parties

Going out

The ticket you did not want to waste.

A film on a weeknight, a gig you have had tickets for since February, a match that is no fun watched alone at home.

Films · Gigs · Live sport

An ordinary afternoon

Coffee that runs long, a shop you cannot decide in.

Dinner you would rather not eat alone, a walk through a market, a second opinion in the third shop of the afternoon.

In focus this month

Dandiya night, by the hour.

What a garba evening usually comes to, so you can decide before you ask anyone. Every companion sets their own rate, so treat these as the going rate rather than a price list.

  • Two hours₹1,000

    The early rounds

₹1,118 with fees, at ₹500 an hour

    • Arrive with someone, and a name to introduce
    • The basic steps, taught on the floor
    • Photos you would actually post
    • Matching colours, if you want them
  • Four hours₹1,500

    The busy half

₹1,677 with fees, at ₹375 an hour

    • Everything in two hours
    • The rounds that fill up, danced properly
    • Photos and reels through the night
    • A break for chai when your feet give out
  • All night₹2,000

Six hours, until the dhol stops

₹2,236 with fees, at about ₹330 an hour

    • Everything in four hours
    • The good steps, taught slowly
    • Someone to keep the circle going
    • Someone to leave with when you are done

The first figure is what the companion charges for the evening. The second adds our service fee and the GST on that fee — the amount you actually pay. Your booking shows its own exact total, and what a cancellation returns, before you pay.

How it works

Four steps, in this order.

  1. Join, then find someone free

Joining takes an emailed code, or a password if you would rather have one. Then browse companions in your city: each profile shows their hourly rate, the languages they speak, what they are up for, and the hours they have open.

  2. Ask for a time

Say when, how long, and where you are going. The price is worked out before you send it, and nothing is charged for asking.

  3. They accept, you pay

A companion has a day to answer, and can say no. Once they accept, you pay in the app to confirm it. The meeting place is shared with them then, and not before.

  4. Meet in public

Two people, one evening, somewhere public. If anything goes wrong you can tell us, up to a day after it ends, and a person on our team takes it from there.

Safety

The part we take most seriously.

bookmyplusone is a platonic companionship service. It is not a dating app, and it is not an escort service.

Bookings that read as either are cancelled, refunded, and the account is removed. We would rather lose the booking than be unclear about this.

112In danger right now? Call first, tell us after.

  • A person checks every companion

Government ID and a live selfie, read by someone on our team before a profile is ever listed. Nobody is listed because a script decided the photo looked fine.

  • Public places only

Cafés, restaurants, malls, cinemas, garba grounds, event halls. A booking to a home or a hotel room is not what this is for, and ends the account that asked for it.

  • Platonic, and we mean it

This is not a dating app and not an escort service. A booking that reads as either is cancelled and refunded, and the account goes. We would rather lose the booking.

  • Tell us, for a day afterwards

Either side can report a problem from the moment the booking starts until a day after it ends. It goes to our team with the booking, never to the other person.

  • A safety concern wakes the team

Report feeling unsafe and everyone on our team is emailed the moment it is saved. If you are in danger right now, call 112 first and tell us after.

  • Money stays in the app

The rate is agreed before you meet and paid through the app. Nobody should ask you for cash, and a refund, when one is due, goes back the way it came.

Pricing

You pay by the hour. That is the whole model.

Each companion sets their own rate and shows it on their profile. On top of that we add a service fee, and GST on that fee alone — never on the companion's time. Both are shown before you pay. No membership, no monthly fee, and no surge pricing on a Saturday night.

What a booking adds up to
2 hours at ₹500₹1,000
Service fee₹100
GST on the fee₹18
Total₹1,118
The two-hour garba night above, worked through. Your own booking shows its own figures, and what a cancellation would return, before you pay.

Included in every booking

  • A companion whose ID a person has checked
  • The full price, agreed before you pay
  • Refunds by the rules kept with your booking
  • A way to report a problem, for a day afterwards
  • No subscription, and no cash

Where we are

Five cities to start.

We open a city once there are enough companions in it to be worth your time. If yours is not here yet, tell us, and you will hear from us when it is.

Somewhere else? Tell us where to go next.

Become a plus one

Good company, paid by the hour.

If you are the person friends bring along because you are easy to be around, this is work you can do in the hours you already have free. Applications are read by a person, usually within a few days.

Apply to be a companion
  • You set the rate

Your hourly rate is yours to set and to change. We take a share of it, and you see that share before you are listed.

  • You choose the hours

Set the days and times you are open to being booked. Nothing lands in your calendar that you did not accept.

  • Every request is yours to refuse

You see the occasion, the place and the time before you answer, and you can say no without giving a reason.

  • We check your ID first

Government ID and a selfie, read by our team. It is the same check on everyone, and it is why the person who turns up is trusted.

Questions people actually ask

The awkward ones first.

Is this a date?

No. A plus one is company for one occasion, for a set number of hours, in a public place. Both people agree to that before anything is booked. Bookings that read as romantic are cancelled and the account is removed — that is the line, and it does not move at a festival either.

What if it is awkward?

People who applied and were approved by someone on our team, after a government ID and a live selfie were checked. Their profile shows their rate, their languages, their city, and what they are up for.

What does it cost?

Whatever the companion charges an hour, plus a service fee and GST on that fee. You see the full amount, and what a cancellation would return, before you pay a rupee.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel early and you are refunded in full. The closer to the booking, the less comes back, and the exact steps are shown on the booking before you pay. If the companion cancels a booking you paid for, you get all of it back.

What if it is awkward?

The first ten minutes sometimes are. Pick someone whose profile sounds like your kind of evening, meet somewhere you already like, and keep the first booking short.

What if something goes wrong?

Report it from the booking, any time between its start and a day after it ends. A person on our team reads it, talks to both sides, and can refund all of it, part of it, or none. If you are in danger, call 112 first.
